Prerequisites for Conducting Clinical Research

Below is a guide to the minimum requirements necessary in order to participate in clinical research projects at Jefferson.

A. Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training

1. Biomedical Research Certification (HIPPA incl.) 7 modules
2. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) 14 modules

• Full complement required only once (Refresher course every two years)

B. Disclosure of COI: Done Annually Via an Online System

• Jefferson Faculty and Employees – Complete annually via online system

  • Provide your name, (and campus key if you have one), email address, institution or school you are associated with

Infectious Material Shipping Training

This training is for anyone who ships infectious materials (pathogens, human tissues, or blood, etc), whether research or clinically related. It is based on IATA's "Dangerous Goods Regulations", 59th edition. An exam is given at the end of the course.
