The mission of the Jefferson Clinical Research Institute (JCRI) is to provide a centralized service-line approach to cutting-edge, highly effective and compliant clinical research.
JCRI offers a variety of services designed to promote the successful development, implementation, and management of clinical research at Thomas Jefferson University.
Clinical research personnel can find all internal clinical research resources on ONE (Jefferson's Intranet).

Project Development & Management
JCRI Project Development and Management offers services to support Jefferson faculty investigators in all phases of clinical research, including proposal development, protocol implementation, and preparation and dissemination of deliverables. The Project Development and Management group specializes in investigator initiated studies.

JCRI Training and Education offers a robust menu of educational opportunities and support for clinical research personnel and investigators, with the goal of ensuring reliable and compliant clinical research.

Clinical Research Systems
JCRI Clinical Research Systems is responsible for implementation, training, and oversight of Clinical Research Systems at Jefferson. This office is responsible for clinical research policies, procedures, and ticket resolution for each of the systems below.

- Clinical Research Systems Simulation
- JCRI’s comprehensive Clinical Research Systems Simulation experience was designed as a supplemental resource to formal training. Its aim is to allow users to navigate a playground environment for each system without the risk of compromising real life data. The simulation highlights essential workflows for research staff and bridges the gap between isolated trainings to improve understanding of how the research systems connect. Please complete this Redcap form and the JCRI Systems team will reach out about how you can start the Clinical Research Systems Simulation.

JCRI Clinical Operations offers services to support our investigators for all types of clinical research, including staffing and managing regulatory compliance. Clinical Operations specializes in industry sponsored trials and also provides as needed coverage for investigator initiated studies.

Business Operations
JCRI Business Operations oversees and manages all pre-award and post-award services for clinical research. All Jefferson faculty seeking funding for clinical research are required work through the office of Business Operations to manage grant applications, contracts, budgets, and Medicare coverage analyses.
