The mission of the Center, in collaboration with the SKMC Department of Microbiology & Immunology, is to concentrate and strengthen the basic and translational research at Thomas Jefferson University in vaccinology, infectious diseases, anti-microbial therapeutics, cancer vaccines, and public health to build a nationally and internationally known Center of Excellence.

Jefferson researchers are tackling pathogens and tumors that cause significant human disease. We are developing novel approaches to protect against these diseases. We are defining novel mechanisms of pathogenesis and using this information to develop new treatments. We are exploring new questions of vaccine design and function.
