Clinical research is a rapidly growing and evolving field in healthcare. As clinical research continues to expand and clinical trials become more complex, there is increasing demand for the implementation and enforcement of universal guidelines to ensure standardization, consistency, and compliance.
As a result, academic medical centers must develop strategies to meet the rigorous standards set forth by local, national and international regulations. Standard Operating Procedures for the Conduct of Clinical Research has been developed to guide University personnel in conducting clinical research that meets the standards of compliance, integrity, and scientific rigor demanded by local, federal and, international regulation.
