Fees for Jefferson IRB Review

The Jefferson IRB charges review fees for commercially funded studies and for studies where the Jefferson IRB is serving as the single IRB (sIRB). IRB fees are waived for unfunded studies in which the investigator is a Jefferson employee.

Effective August 1, 2024, studies with commercial financial support will be subject to standard IRB fees.

The below fee schedule is for investigators seeking single IRB (sIRB) review services from the Jefferson IRB. This fee schedule reflects the base Jefferson IRB fee rate for sIRB review that will be applied to all new requests for sIRB services. Each request for sIRB services must be submitted to the Jefferson IRB via a reliance request. A study-specific budget will be prepared for each reliance request that is approved and fees will be calculated on a study-specific basis.
