Nguyen T (Wendy) Van
Research Technician (2020-2023)

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Temple University and joined Dr. Kim's lab in 2020. In Dr. Kim's lab, she played a crucial role in setting up techniques for mouse embryo manipulation and CRISPR-mediated genetic modification. She published two research articles as the first author with Dr. Kim. She is currently attending William Carey University, College of Osteophathic Medicine.

Jose Villagomez, MS
Graduate student (2019-2021)

Jose earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Molecular Biology from Montclair State University and joined Dr. Kim's lab in 2020 as a graduate student. He studied the function of acryl hydrocarbon receptor and its ligands on GPR15 expression in mouse and human T cells in Dr. Kim's lab. He is currently working in WuXi AppTech in South Philadelphia.

Rachel Wigmore, BS
Research Technician (2018-2021)

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gettysburg College and joined Dr. Kim's lab in 2018. In Gettysburg College, she collaborated with Dr. Hiraizumi to study a role of dipeptidase protein in fruit flies. She is currently in the  PhD program in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology at Penn State University.

Karen Zhang
Research Technician (2016-2020)

Karen received her Bachelor of Science majoring in chemistry at Temple University and joined Dr. Kim's lab in 2016. During her undergraduate education, she worked in research projects for studying the regeneration of the fin and the heart in zebrafish by using CRISPR-mutagenesis. She also worked as Amgen scholar in Washington University in the summer of 2015. She is currently in the Ph.D program at the Department of Chemistry in the University of Pennsylvania.
