Sathi Babu received his PhD from IMTECH-CSIR (Jawaharlal Nehru University) in 2014. During his graduate work, Sathi Babu investigated the role of Toll like Receptor (TLR)-2 in rescuing the chronically activated Th1 cells from undergoing exhaustion. As a postdoctoral fellow at PennState College of Medicine, he aimed to understand the role of endosomal TLRs, type-I and II interferon signaling in the regulation of systemic autoimmune responses in SLE disease.  His current research work is to investigate the role of TLR- and interferon-pathways in the metabolic reprogramming of B and T cells.
