The Research Administration Center of Excellence (RACE) is a shared service center that will provide faculty-centric research administration support across Jefferson.
The RACE Vision
Handling the business of research, so faculty can perform the research. The RACE objectives are:
- enhance service for all researchers across campus;
- ensure consistent processes and procedures across departments; and
- provide our grants management staff a clear career path.

Research Reference Matrices
Establishes what each member of the pre-award proposal team is responsible for as applications are prepared and submitted. It is geared toward NIH Cayuse submissions, but there are instructions for other types of grant applications as well.
This matrix outlines the detailed Roles & Responsibilities for the PI, Department/College, RACE, ORA, and SPAO for the whole life cycle of grants management for both Pre-Award and Post-Award Administration.

The Service Level Agreement is RACE's promise of service to each department they are serving. The Agreement will outline the support services that RACE will provide to faculty as well as the level of communication the department can expect.
