Guetchyn Millen, MS, MD
Research Assistant II
Research Project 1- Dr. Millen received her Master degree in Medical Sciences at Boston University School of Medicine and earned an MD degree at Ross University. She has a long-standing interest in bench research and has played a central role to many of the projects in the Ramirez Lab. She is currently working with induced pluripotent stem cells differentiated into lung epithelium to study the role of chromatin remodeling genes and long noncoding RNAs in lung epithelial cell growth and differentiation.
Zhaotang Wu, MD
Visiting Scholar
Research Project 2- Dr. Wu is a Visiting Scientist from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, China. He is studying the role of various transcription factors and lncRNAs in lung epithelial cell differentiation during development and disease.
Sana Krimberg, BA
Research Technician
Research Project 3- Ms. Krimberg received her BA in Biology from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa in Honolulu, HI. She joined Dr. Ramirez Lab in September 2017 and has since mastered various laboratory techniques for analyzing lung RNA and proteins. Sana is also responsible for overseeing many of the day-to-day activities in the lab. Sana plans to attend graduate school in the coming years.
