Patient Identity (12" x 9"; made with pill bottles, resin, acrylic paint, cardboard)
This piece is a study of how the exploration of the patient identity among mental health clinicians can strengthen the client-clinician relationship and improve quality of care. It explores the impact of clinician vulnerability and self-disclosure by clinicians, shown by my name and medication left on the bottles for display as well as the openness of the bottles. This piece also studies how repurposing medical supplies can help empower chronically ill patients.
